Was highly recommend so called in treat ourselves. I settled for the sea bream with a side of king prawns which I found very disappointed by 5 prawns in a burnt garlic sauce just short of £7 a fillet of sea bream which came with a sauce with absolutely no flavour were had to ask bar person what it was . My husband had the burger with side of onion rings which look amazing but full of oil .Very disappointed

I've always had a special place in my heart for the last inn! They really know how to throw a great time with live bands and awesome disco nights, not to mention their fantastic food menu. I recently tried their new special, a surf & turf sharing platter, and I went for the ribeye from a local butcher. You can pick from a variety of chips or fries, and I opted for their truffle & parmesan fries, so delicious! The ribs were incredibly tender, and the meat just fell off the bone. Seriously, everything was cooked to perfection! It was such a delightful experience!

The Last inn, I have eaten here now three times and each time had ribeye steak as never fails to disappoint and holds the title in my mind as the best steak I’ve had. A generous portion sizes with banging peppercorn sauce. We visited on a busy Saturday and managed to find a table which was lucky as is often fully booked. The owner Ted was very helpful explaining the menu, which was a huge interest to my girlfriend as loves fresh fish which they offer served which a variety of different sauces, she went with tomato and basil which was delightful. The menu is full of options for everyone, the portion sizes are good and drinks available at a reasonable price. They allow well behaved dogs which is a bonus. Next time we will be back but ensure we book in advance. Highly recommended!

Stumbled into this cracking pub and, by some divine pub-god miracle, we landed the golden seat – a table for two right by the door. Prime spot for people-watching… or judging, depending on how many Guinnesses you’ve had. Speaking of which – the Guinness? Top draw. Creamy, cold, and smoother than a Barry White album. The missus went full Somerset and ordered a Cheddar Valley cider. One pint in, she was already talking like a Wurzel. We ordered grub – well, she did: a fish sandwich with Stilton, bacon, and chunky chips. Sounds like it shouldn’t work. Tasted like it was sent from heaven by a beer-bellied angel. Proper filling too – no messing about. Back on the train, I’m buzzing from the black stuff and chatting nonsense. Turn to see the missus? She’s sparked out. Cider had kicked in like a tranquiliser dart. 10/10 would do it all again.

Beautiful place, very well-appointed and decorated. We had the opportunity to eat a main course and a dessert; everything was delicious. Recommended. (Dogs are welcome.)
