Well worth a visit when in Barmouth, along with the other independent shops.
Over 15 flavours to choose from, including vegan options.
When there is a queue be patient as its a tough decision. Might be worth the owners having a daily list outside to help with decision making.
We had Rum & Raisin and cherry ripple, close decision between midnight mint! Both absolutely delicious.
There is a variety of cones to choose from or tubs.
A few tables outside or plenty of benches by the harbour to enjoy your ice cream and the lovely view of the Mawddach estuary.
Ice cream tastes ok, but most flavours are loaded with some sort of sandy texture thing. I thought it was chocolate, or cookies but I don't think that's it. It's tasteless. Unnecessary addition. The other thing I noticed is the way you stand right in front of the counter for minutes while the girl who's supposed to be serving customers just chit chat with pals.
In general it's not bad, but does not make me want to be back. Next time I'm there I'll sadly skip and go somewhere else
Two dairy free / vegan ice creams, which were quite nice. They also had gluten free cones (good ones) and loads of options for those without allergies.
Surprisingly expensive, however.
Spent two days staying locally to Barmouth on a much needed holiday, all I wanted was an ice cream by the sea! Lots of flavours to choose from and definitely enjoyed.
However, we bought our ice creams, found a seat outside to enjoy (was surprisingly empty when we went), within 5 minutes a woman came from inside the shop hurling abuse at us, saying we were in her seat (the table was empty..) this woman was shouting and swearing at us; telling us to ‘go back to where we came from’. The staff of the shop did nothing to intervene and the interaction forced us to leave as she wouldn’t leave us alone. Bit of a shame after spending £14 on two ice creams!!! And sad to see that tourists clearly aren’t welcome here.
