Well worth a visit when in Barmouth, along with the other independent shops. Over 15 flavours to choose from, including vegan options. When there is a queue be patient as its a tough decision. Might be worth the owners having a daily list outside to help with decision making. We had Rum & Raisin and cherry ripple, close decision between midnight mint! Both absolutely delicious. There is a variety of cones to choose from or tubs. A few tables outside or plenty of benches by the harbour to enjoy your ice cream and the lovely view of the Mawddach estuary.

Firstly - EXPENSIVE!!! £3 a scoop! The flavours sounded nice tasted bad. The lotus was terrible. The Dubai chocolate was mediocre at best. The apple pie was good. The snickers was ok. The queue took forever to go down. Just find another ice cream place. They also don’t serve knickerbockers

It may be a familiar sea-side tradition but Knickerbockers are making sure that ice-cream is beyond familiar with a large rand of flavours and quality cones plus toppings. Very nice indeed. This was a return visit after sampling 4 weeks before as well.

Good selection of ice creams, kept together away from the rest of the flavours. Gluten free cones available, asked for new scoop and gloves - no problem. They do state that due to the volume of gluten products available (cones, wafers) that they must say it ‘may contain’ but with 3 coeliacs having a cone and ice cream we had no issues.

Been too knickerbockers for years, the ice cream tastes ok, but the prices are high. Too makes it worse on this visit I noticed the ice cream Tubs have now gone even smaller, £4 for a small scoop of ice cream is insane. You get more ice cream in a mini McFlurry for £1.69. I won’t be bothering going again, the prices and the amount you get for your money is shocking.
